Jatarra Ellis, LPCA works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, substance use, relationship difficulties, mood concerns, identity questions, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. She’s also passionate about supporting men, LGBTQ+ individuals, and clients navigating concerns related to sexual health, intimacy, and sexual behavior. Jatarra believes therapy should be a place where clients can speak honestly without feeling judged, dismissed, or pressured to have everything figured out.

Drawing from CBT, DBT, ACT, and holistic approaches, Jatarra helps clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationship patterns. She takes the time to understand each client’s story rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. Her goal isn’t simply symptom management: she supports clients in healing from past experiences, changing patterns that no longer serve them, and creating lives that feel more authentic, connected, and meaningful. Jatarra earned her Master of Education in Counseling from Springfield College, and her experience spans outpatient therapy, private practice, residential treatment, community behavioral health, and work with justice-involved populations.
